How It Works
Submit Your Request
Choose whether you're requesting shoes for yourself or your family, then complete our simple request form. Tell us who the shoes are for, the size(s) needed, and the best way to reach you. We'll take it from there.
We Follow Up
Our team personally reviews every request with care. We'll follow up with you within 2–5 business days to confirm your information, answer any questions, and explain next steps.
Receive Your Shoes
Once your request is confirmed, our team will work to provide your new shoes within 10–15 business days. We'll contact you with the next steps and coordinate the best way for you to receive your shoes.
These are not someone else’s old shoes or whatever happens to be available. ShoeHeals provides brand-new, quality shoes that fit, feel good, and help you walk away feeling good about what’s on your feet.

Yes — 100% free. ShoeHeals is a nonprofit funded entirely by donors and corporate sponsors. You will never be asked for payment, a deposit, or any form of compensation. The shoes are a gift from our community to yours.
After you submit your request, our team typically follows up within 3–5 business days. From there, timing depends on the next available distribution event in your area, which can range from 1–3 weeks. We'll keep you informed every step of the way.
No. We do not require any documentation, identification, or proof of income. We take you at your word. Our goal is to remove every possible barrier between you and a pair of shoes.
We distribute both new and gently used shoes. All used shoes are cleaned, inspected, and selected for quality before distribution. We will always be honest about what we have available when we follow up with you.
Yes. We understand that needs change and children grow fast. You're welcome to submit a new request as your situation evolves. We ask that requests be spaced at least 90 days apart to help us serve as many families as possible.
Our primary service area is Chicago and the surrounding metro area. If you're outside our range, please still reach out — we'll do everything we can to connect you with a partner organization in your area, or work something out directly. Contact us here.
Never. Your personal information is used solely to fulfill your shoe request and is never sold, shared, or used for any other purpose. We take your privacy seriously — especially for families in vulnerable situations.

If you're experiencing financial hardship, homelessness, rebuilding your life after incarceration, preparing for employment, or navigating another difficult life transition, we encourage you to submit a request.
Shoe requests are fulfilled based on available inventory.
